The first day was spent downtown, in our big city. It was our "church" day, as we mostly got shots of different older churches. I loved the architecture and all the different roof lines, steeples and such. But that is another post. The second day was my favorite even though it was the day I drove and didn't get near as many shots as my best girl, who on this particular day learned that she kinda likes photography as well. And all this time, I thought she was going to be my photography assistant. . .
That second day we drove right at 100 miles. We scoured countryside just west and southwest of our home. I have lived in this same little town my whole life
We drove into small open fields, up a very short distance into driveways of unsuspecting farmers. Who to this day probably don't have any clue that our tires graced their driveway that particular day. It was an adventure. It was time. . time well spent and thoroughly enjoyed.
Here is just a glimpse of what we captured on that lovely day.
This not so little guy (or gal) was nice enough to greet us as we were sneaking found our way down the driveway of what I am sure is a very nice farming family that lived somewhere in the middle of nowhere just southwest of where we live. I thought it was ever so polite of him (or is it a her) to pose so nicely for us.

A sudden stop into this nice quiet deserted field promised to give me exactly what I was seeing in my head. We almost missed this sweet opportunity as it was slightly hidden from the road by a half dead tree that was laying across the ground between this old water pump and the road.
By the way. . . what does one do when one had drank too much iced tea while taking a day long drive through the countryside and all of the sudden in the middle of no where realizes there is not a bathroom in site? Not saying that is what happened, just wondered what one would do in a case like that.

What one does when one drinks too much iced-tea while getting lost, is not something we talk about on Sundays, now is it?
Let me say this, I am very thankful for houses spread five miles apart. My modesty was well kept.
